Sparks Reserve Pavilion

Location: Box Hill South, Victoria
Client: City of Whitehorse

This project extends from a feasibility study undertaken by BHMA in 2017 for a new satellite sports pavilion for junior soccer teams of a nearby Soccer Club on an otherwise vacant site.

Concepts are underway to produce a striking, robust pavilion that responds creatively to topography and the needs of the user groups.

The plan and form are carefully inserted into the site to absorb and shelter players and large spectator volumes, and orient them positively towards the numerous junior playing pitches.

The ‘standard’ Social Rooms are replaced with a large, open tiered external concourse that offers a flexible, dynamic area for viewing and socializing.
