A new house on a compact block was designed for a professional couple with three teenage sons. Three levels zoned the house into discrete areas for teenagers, (including a gym and separate media room), a parents’ suite and formal/ informal spaces for entertaining corporate clients, family and friends. A landscaped garden and pool is the focus of the family spaces. The house is designed to sit comfortably in the streetscape, with materials such as split faced concrete block, natural stone and timber providing an architectural edge.
